Poor

After one week of playing I finally finished this crapsack. King's quest 8 is a poor game very unlike the previous adventurous games of the series. The only good thing about this sucky game is that it was cheap, probably because it's such a disappointment. Even the store owner said it wasn't good, and oh he was right.

How do you change weapons? I bought the game a long time ago but started playing it again. I have a lot of weapons but when I click on 'weapons', it just uses the AX. I lost the instructions.

Somebody please help! I'm playing the game now and I'm in the land of Daventry. I can get the axe, but when I leave the building, the game gets stuck in the hands off scene and I can't do anything. Any ideas?? Thanks!

Having played King's Quest 1 - 7 I was so pleased to get KQ8. I was surprised the graphics weren't as good as more recent games but I still enjoyed it until the game froze when Connor got the axe. Reinstalling it then caused it to freeze on the menu page! Since then it's been unplayable. I was told it's incompatible with XP. Anyone any solutions?

I have always loved Sierra Games. and I love this one too , but I don't know if the Halls in Death, have a fault or whether, it can be solved by puzzle solution. I have followed the puzzle solution and have found reactions in the game. If there is a genuine fault , can you please send the "patch", at Mrs Angela Gallace, 32 Curtin Av., Abbottsford 2046, Sydney. Australia or my email address, as I love this game and would love to continue. Please tell me if the halls can be solved by solving the puzzle or if it is a genuine mistake. I've looked up the cheats and they seem to think that it is a game fault, but I find that hard to believe, as sierra has always had impeccable standards.
Please inform me if the game puzzle can be solved and it is not a fault, or send me the patch, so that I can continue, as I have tried to access to get the patch and cannot succeed. I have only used email very rarely, as I am not connected to the internet, and use the internet at the local Five Dock Library.
Thank you for your attention, and please continue to make roleplaying games that don't necessarily require skill in fighting. Have loved you gemes ever since I saw the first game that was very much like Kings Quest 5, when I bought my first computer.
Bye and thank you for the beauty of your work, that gives me a chance to go to wonderland once again with sierra.
With Love and the best of wishes,
Angela Gallace
