Religion is not an uncommon theme in adventure games, but few adventure games dare to adopt religion as its narrative focus. Paul McCauley, founder of Genesis Works, is an independent game developer who is not afraid to instill his Christian beliefs into the games he develops. Founded in 1994, Genesis Work has a mission, as claimed by the company, "to create interactive games that stimulate…

CHEERS!

I found a flyer on my car for this game. I bought it at Amazon. The flyer was very interesting - caught my attention.

As for the interview, I too like it. Axis - the main character, is very beautiful and fits the role great.
I wish I could have seen more of the angels and other characters. The overall look of the game is amazing - just a pleasure to watch the scenery.

Can you do more interviews with this developer? Want to know more about any upcoming projects - On their website it looks as though there is a comic book?

Where can I get the comic? I love that MIcheal Turner style.

So I just watched the trailer for this game. Amazing visuals, extremely beautiful looking game. I might even buy it if I wasn't so broke. I also enjoyed the article.

However, I protest the sexualization of the main character's heavenly guide, Axis. Per the description, this is his grandmother, which is not disturbing in itself, but the fact that, apparently, "a glorified body" actually means "a sexy body" is a bit...well, angering. But this is, of course, coming from a guy with very few, if any, religious beliefs. So maybe I don't get it.

Still, couldn't she just look like herself before she got arthritis or something? And there was a point in the gameplay video that he was clearly staring down her shirt. Creepy.

Finally, we can find out more about this developer!

I got this game about 1 month ago. (Got it on Amazon, but I do admit, their website was too fun). It is probably the most advanced visual concepts for a game I have ever played. The amount of thought and detail that is shown is way beyond regular games. Most games try to recreate some earthy environments, but this game is on another level. Hats of to the concept artists and the 3d team that pulled this off. And the cut scenes are well worth it alone. A feast for the eyes.

As for the interview, I found it to be balanced and informative. It is refreshing to play a game that comes from originality and not market demands. I am looking forward to more from Paul and Company.

Great interview Mr. Jong.
