THE best adventure game - on any format - and one of the best stories of modern history - up there with Mary Poppins, Gone with the Wind and of course, The Wizard of Oz.
Shame that Dreamfall the follow-up totally let it down.
One of the best adventures ever, up there alongside Monkey Island 1 and Riven.
No, you’re not the only one. Maybe you’re too hard on the humour, nothing quite horrible in that aspect. Instead I would add generally poorly thought out puzzles and cliched, soap-operish, uninvolving story to your list. Still I’d say that in all its mediocrity the game is a passable time-killer. But I wouldn’t really warn anybody from trying the game, because for some reason so many people fall in love with it.
So I’m the only one who found the dialog too long and droning, characters flat and without imagination, the attempts at humour the worst ever, the graphics rather ‘smudged’ looking and the lead character completely unlikeable?
