If there was ever a video game that inspired me to head down my career path as an artist, it was Sam & Max. And mom always said they'd rot my brain.

What I mean, really, is that Sam & Max is so brimming with character in every aspect that it oozes its own id out its fluffy ears. It instantly made me want to become a cartoonist. What I found the most charming were the Sam & Max comic strips that came inside the 'hint book' and game manual of the CD-ROM version. Throwing hammers at fruit to see which the most resilient? Brilliant.

As for the game itself, it encouraged you to think outside the box - around which various puddles of slime, figgy pudding, and chicken feathers were placed, lathered with rubber cement - forcing you to think ridiculously. Indeed, you had to have an absurdist sense of humor to solve the puzzles, and it encouraged one's imagination. A beautiful mechanic.

I want more Twinklies!

After more than 10 years, I started playing this game again. It started off beautifully, like a pink flamingo gracing the front lawn of a southern Californian house. This game is made of untold amounts of win and joy. The only downside is the occasionally clunky interface behaviour when trying to select objects close to Max. Apart from that, this game is so good I nearly cried tears of happiness.

When I played this game I was still an idiot, and i simply didn't have the patience to figure out the puzzles all by myself. No, as I said, I was a moron and in every not-able-to-figure-it-out-situation, I simply looked it up in the net. Yhyy, I lost much!
And I'll never get it back...
Spoilers should be shut down...
So don't be a moron, this game is one of the too rare games which has absolutely no dead-end-situations! You can't go wrong, so don't use a spoiler, pleeeezzz.
Sam&Max; is the Greatest!!!
