I am a loyal Monkey island player and have been playing monkey island from it's begining, i was only 12 then and it was really fun on my amiga! even Monkey island 2 was fun (even though it came in 11 floppy disks on amiga). they kept me playing for ages! i bought curse of monkey island when it came out on pc. I must say, yes it was funny and fun to play, but as someone else posted, it lacked in originality and that some puzzles where impossible to figure out without the help of a walkthrough (even though i played both previous games without help). now i'm quite unsure about buying the new "escape from monkey island" cos i'm afraid to be left dissapointed. I don't want that cos for me the previous monkey island titles should be the standard of any adventure game.

I stumbled upon this remarkable page by coincidence really and was immediately enthralled by all the detailed articles on games I actually grew up with (Monkey Island, Simon the Sorcerer etc). Having featured some articles on adventures myself, I was interested to learn how you described the games that have captured my attention for hours uncounted. As much as I am pleased with what I've read so far, there's one thing I missed when going through some reviews: there are no links to pages where I can purchase or download the game just reviewed, since it's very dificult to lay your hands on classics like Monkey Island, for instance.
Nevertheless, keep up the good work, bye,
Christoph
