Discworld is a flat circular planet that rides on the back of four giant elephants; they in turn sit on the shell of a giant turtle that carries the Disc through the infinite boundaries of space. Definitely worth every penny; use dosbox and you can manipulate it to work for XP. It's worth every effort in trying to do so; it is a truly magical game with doses of great humour to add.

This game is amazing. It is much better than the first one and the difficulty is just right.

After countless hours trying to get it working on XP, i was successful using the following procedure: I installed the game from the CD with the windows installer, then I used DosBox0.70 (a dos emulator) and ran it with the following line:

"C:\Program Files\DOSBox-0.70\dosbox.exe" -conf "C:\Program Files\DOSBox-0.70\dosbox.conf" -c "mount c C:\" -c "mount -t cdrom d d:\" -c "c:"

where d is the drive that you have the discworld CD mounted on. Then i changed into the discworld install directory and ran DW2.bat. This launched the game perfectly.

Again, I highly recommend discworld 2 to anyone who loves monkey island, grim fandango, and other adventure comedies.
