Just wanted to add that this list is based on a poll of both game industry folks and PC gamers, a list of people drawn from my gaming-oriented email group and other folks I know. They chose the winners. I just had one vote.

A lot of games, like Gabriel Knight, King's Quest, Myst, Full Throttle and even the venerable Planetfall were in the #11-#20 range, and so close sometimes, votewise, that one was tempted to lengthen the list. But folks like the Top 10 list format (silly as it can be), and you have to draw the line somewhere I guess.

Take care & happy gaming!

Poor

This list sucks! if you don't consider the myst series to be in the top 10 adventuregames of all time, you should be ashamed that call yourself an adventurelover

I coudn't agree more with the 10 ten, I've played most of those and your sites given me some stuff to download aswell as I haven't played some of them ; ) I'm kind of glad that "Day of the tentacle", "Sam and Max" and "Indiana Jones" were there. It's just a shame more adventure games aren't out nowadays, but there are lots I still wan't to try.

You have a good site for adventure gamers, but still one thing is a bit disappointing. You call you're selves Adventure Collective, but I can't see anybody mentioning anything about such classics like Sam and Max Hit the Road or Full Throtle. Why? Other great Lucasarts games are missing too.

I am so glad I found this. I lost the name of this wonderful game and then suddenly it occured to me!
Found this and I am really sorry that I am not having this legendary game in my possesion anymore. To be honest I never got to finish it cause I got stuck somewhere in the game. It's even better than "Sam and Max hit the road" though this was incredible too. It's a real pitty that this kind of humor in games seems to have lost it's place. I'd do almost everything to have a new game like this being released! GO LUCAS ART!....do they still exist? Heya, nice thing this site. Greetsz Jaszper

your top ten, best adventure games list is disgraceful. Ever heard or played games like Gabriel Knight, Quest for Glory(series), Space Quest(series). These games had me playing for hours and hours. I've played 9 out of the 10 games on your top ten list, dont get me wrong they are pretty good games, like day of the tentacle and sam and max, indiana jones. But the sierra games should have been right up there. Let me ask you, do you have something against Sierra? they undoubtable have the best adventure games ever made.
please get back to me and tell me what you think.

This game is an all-time favorite of mine. A true classic, as other Lucas Arts games like Sam n Max Hit the Road are!
