The first adventure I ever played was King's Quest I on the Apple IIgs of a friend of mine. Since then I'm a huge fan of Sierra and Lucasarts adventure games. I really like your great site. By reading your articles and reviews, all nostalgic memories from the past are coming up again.

Great work !

By the way, I own the english and german version of Gabriel Knight II - The beast within.

The death scenes of the english version were cencored. The screen wents black and a german text is displayed. In the german version (voices are dubbed in german), the death scenes are shown in full lengh.

Greetings from Germany

well, fantastic site; my first adventure had been monkey1.
i nearly played all of the reviewed games and enjoyed very much, reading the reviews and seeing all those memories of the "good old days" upcoming.
i gotta say that im addicted to the "broken sword" and "gabriel knight" series and I HOPE THEIR STYLE WILL NEVER DIE!!

ps: believe me : the "germans" at ritter-castle - they speak german as good as i could speak chinese

One of four favourite games (the others are Chronomaster, Thief, Realm of the Haunting). A totally satisfactory game experience not equalled in terms of intelligence, causality and suspense by GK 2.
